Cassie Sherwood is from Smithville, Missouri, and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with her B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and Marine Biology in 2024. She has always had a passion for nature and conservation, and during her undergraduate studies she fell in love with scientific communication and journalism. She decided to continue her education and integrate her two passions.
Cassie is pursuing her MA in journalism with an emphasis in environmental journalism. Cassie moved out West with her partner and their two cats. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, horseback riding, and reading.
