Terri Fiez, vice chancellor for research and innovation at CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, will host a seminar Oct. 9 to discuss campus research efforts and priorities specifically with CU Engineering faculty and staff.

The event, scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. on Oct. 9 in the Aspen Room of the University Memorial Center, will be an open discussion. Topics will include CU’s efforts to improve support for campus investigators and how CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ's research, scholarship and creative activities are advancing the university's strategic imperatives.

Lunch will be provided and a required registration can be done online through Oct. 2.Ìý

Fiez joined CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ in 2015. Previously, she spent more than fifteen years at Oregon State University where she was the head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Research Agenda Strategy Consultant to the vice president for research and head of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.Ìý

Fiez earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Idaho and a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from OSU. She is a former National Science Foundation Young Investigator awardee with over 150 publications.
