New name, same mission! Today, the Assembly voted to change our name from the United Government of Graduate Students (UGGS) to the Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG).آ
We chose this name to better indicate that we support and represent graduate and professional students on campus, no matter their program. As an added bonus, we are also glad to not be confused with the fashion boot brand. You can read more about the history of our name leading up to this decision in the bill linked to this article.
