Kick off the new year productively with our January Writing Retreat! Join other graduate students and hold each other accountable during our boot camp that will provide the time, space and community needed to kick-start your academic writing for the spring semester. Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided each day. Space is limited, so register today.

Do you need dedicated space to help you focus on your academic writing? Sign up to attend our weekly write-in sessions. The goal of these sessions is to devote a few hours to your writing each week to help build your writing habit, to promote accountability with your peers by working alongside your fellow graduate students, and by tracking your progress regularly.

Join Leslie Blood for this three-day workshop that will focus on imposter syndrome, conflict resolution, and time and energy management. Consider this Grad+ Endurance Intensive as your spring survival kit, where you will equip yourself with tools to have a successful semester.

Research has many stakeholders not educated in your discipline. Effectively communicating your research and interests to people unfamiliar with your field is an important skill. This workshop, led by Seth Vuletich (Scholarly Communications Librarian), will help you understand how to effectively communicate your research to non-experts and why it is necessary.
This workshop is hosted by Colorado School of Mines and is being shared with other institutions across Colorado as part of the GradCO Consortium's Professional Development Series.

This seminar series led by Leslie Blood will consist of weekly one-hour check-ins to support goal setting and planning and to provide a clear understanding of how values should drive goals and habit structures. Students will find that these Endurance Seminars provide a solid foundation to reduce stress and help you find your place in the graduate community. Intro and advanced options available. The advanced topic for the spring semester will be focus.

The most competitive proposals begin with a solid plan for narrative structure and content. This writing webinar will cover important considerations such as mindset, knowing your audience, storytelling and narrative arcs, the Heilmeier Catechism, and suggestions for outline and section construction to create a compelling narrative.聽
