Humanities major, Stephanie Strauss has received a 2009 Provost’s Achievement and Convocation Award. The award recognizes students for strong academic work, leadership and service activities or other special achievements. Strauss will be recognized at a formal Convocation ceremony in the fall.
Strauss has just completed a summer assignment as a teaching assistant for digital photography and black and white photography at Landmark College. “This was such a fantastic opportunity for me,†she said. “I learned a lot and got some wonderful teaching experiences while working with Learning Disabled high school students.†The college has asked Strauss to return next summer.
