Reminder for J-1 Exchange Visitors

Your J-1 exchange visitor status allows you to perform your J-1 exchange visitor program activities, objectives, and goals at CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ as outlined in the initial DS-2019 request paperwork submitted by your sponsoring CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ department.

Exchange visitors in the Research Scholar, Professor, and Short-Term Scholar categories may be authorized to participate in ´Ç³¦³¦²¹²õ¾±´Ç²Ô²¹±ôÌýlectures and ²õ³ó´Ç°ù³Ù-³Ù±ð°ù³¾Ìýconsultations that are ¾±²Ô³¦¾±»å±ð²Ô³Ù²¹±ôÌýto the exchange visitor’s primary program activities. The authorization must be obtained from ISSS in writing prior to engaging in the activity. You must be authorized for Incidental Employment to receive an honorarium, compensation, or reimbursement of expenses related to the occasional lecture, consultation, or other collaborative activity from an entity other than CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ prior to the activity.
