Zach's PhD work was related to hydrogen production, specifically using material science and machine learning approaches to discover new perovskite oxides for solar thermochemical hydrogen production. Perovskite oxides have a vast compositional space, and Zach developed computationally efficient methods to quickly navigate these materials for stability and activity. Additionally, in collaboration with experimental researchers, Zach's computational predictions have been verified for superior hydrogen production capability.

Zach is joining the Sutton group at the University of South Carolina as a postdoctoral scholar to continue his work on exploring perovskite material discovery. Congratulations Zach, and best of luck on your future endeavors!
