On November 16, Dr. Zuo was invited to give a talk at the "Lunch and Learn Seminar" of Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Denver. The talk was titled "Modeling and Simulation for Cyber-Physical Systems:ÌýFrom Sustainable Buildings to Smart and Resilient Cities". In the talk, Dr. ZuoÌýintroducedÌýsome of our recent research in developing and applying the next generation modeling and simulation technology for the design, operation and optimization of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) pertaining to urban built environment. Three ongoingÌýresearch projects were introduced, including 1) modeling and optimization of data center cooling funded by DOE; 2) big data analytics for optimized planning of smart, sustainable, and connected communities funded by National Science Foundation (NSF); 3) human-centered computational framework for resilient coast cities funded by NSF.
