Chelsea was born and raised in Austin, Texas before she moved to Colorado for graduate school. She is currently a rising fifth year Ph.D. candidate in the Luger lab where she is striving to understand what complexes the Medusavirus histone-like proteins form with DNA. When she’s not working on her projects in the lab, Chelsea focuses on helping lead, develop, and modify S.C.O.P.E. as the program’s active President. She has previously acted as the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) Lead for the Biochemistry Department and held a position on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) graduate student council representing her cohort.ÌýÌý

Outside of her time on campus, Chelsea is usually hanging out with her partner and her dogs. Her dogs love to go out on hikes, play frisbee golf, or go mountain biking. When Chelsea isn’t spending time outside, she enjoys playing a wide variety of video games and is actively part of multiple Dungeons and Dragon campaigns. She also frequently consults for the non-profit colorguard group based out of Austin, Origins, during the winter season. Overall, Chelsea strives to enjoy as much as life offers and learn from all the experiences she has had the opportunity to access.Ìý
