Megan is the founder of S.C.O.P.E. She will be graduating with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry in December 2022, and is thrilled to be passing the torch of this outreach program to many very capable hands. Megan enjoyed using microscopy for her work in the Sousa lab at CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, which spurred the idea to use microscopy as a basis to generate interest in science in the form of an outreach program. Microscopy combines physics, math, and computer science towards the end of answering biological and chemical questions, making it a perfect multidisciplinary platform for science education.Ìý
When Megan is not writing or carrying out experiments, she enjoys aerial dance, drawing, and exploring the Colorado wilderness. Megan is interested in a career in science animation and illustration to better communicate science to a wide range of audiences.
