Whitney served as the secretary during the first year of S.C.O.P.E. to help kickoff the program. She is excited to continue to volunteer for the program and see it grow. As a graduate student in the Sousa Lab, Whitney (mainly) uses electron microscopy to look at her tiny particles. Being able to see such tiny things that are not visible to the naked eye is such an exciting privilege! Whitney loves how S.C.O.P.E. is an excellent opportunity to share the exciting things about science with middle school students.
When not working in the lab, Whitney enjoys cycling, drinking hot tea, and reading fiction novels.
