Senator Cory Gardner received a tour of the RECUV Indoor Flying Lab as part of his聽visit to聽the University of Colorado to聽discuss the importance of federally funded research conducted on campus and the positive impact it has on Colorado and the nation.聽Senator聽Gardner heard firsthand from students and faculty about how federal investments in basic and applied research are crucial to groundbreaking work in RECUV and at CU-羞羞视频. Gardner鈥檚 July 6 visit was his first since being elected to the Senate last November. He聽plays a key role in federal research funding due to his position on the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. Later this year, the committee will take up the America COMPETES Reauthorization Act, which authorizes federal investments in science, early stage technology research and development, and STEM education.
