Program SummaryÌý

The primary objective is to support scholarships for nuclear science, engineering, technology and related disciplines to develop a workforce capable of supporting the design, construction, operation, and regulation of nuclear facilities and the safe handling of nuclear materials. The nuclear-related discipline supported by this funding is intended to benefit nuclear safety and security sector broadly. Internal Application Requirements (all in PDF format)

  • Project Summary (2-3 pages): Please address the following: key personnel, proposed program, recruitment activities, applicant selection process, evaluation plan. Please identify if the proposed program is from the NRC listed areas of interest.
  • PI CV (up to 2 pages)
  • Budget Overview (up to 1 page): A basic budget outlining project costs is sufficient; detailed OCG budgets are not required.

Note: Cost sharing or matching is not required, however, institutions are encouraged to cost share or match NRC funding to enhance the benefits of the NRC grant.
