This position has primary responsibility for oversight and policy related to departmental operations, including finance and human resources. The person in this role听will engage听in long-range strategic projects and planning in consultation with the department chair and associate chairs in addition to supervising the business office staff. Additionally, this position provides operation and financial oversight for the Creative Writing Program.
The English department has approximately 46 tenure-track faculty members, six special faculty members (e.g., adjoint, attendant, research, instructors)听and four听administrative staff听responsible for 600 undergraduate majors, 125 graduate students听and more than 159 course offerings. The department has yearly expenditures of approximately $3 million dollars.听
