The for a nationally televised football game at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28. Here are some of theÌýimpactsÌýcommunity members can expect as the campus gears up for the evening event.

Academics

Folsom Field filled with fans.No classes will be canceled because of the football game.ÌýSome classes will be relocated to alternate spaces. Students who are not sure about the status of their courses should checkÌýwith their instructorsÌýto confirm the location for any classes after 3 p.m. on Friday in the followingÌýbuildings. Building access

University Libraries located in the Mathematics Building and Benson Earth SciencesÌýwill be closed at 3 p.m. on Friday.

All personnel will be able to access the above buildings, which areÌýnormally locked during football games,Ìýas long as they have Buff OneCard access. Those who do not have access need to work with the building manager or building proctor if they need to conduct work, research or projects after normal business hours in the buildings listed above.

±Ê²¹°ù°ì¾±²Ô²µÌý

In support of game day operations, entry to Main Campus parking lots will close at 1 p.m. on Friday. Vehicles parked in the lot prior to this time do not need to be relocated, however arrivals after 1 p.m. will be directed to park in lot 327, the Center for Community parking garage, located off Regent Drive under C4C.

Permit holders from lots with further impacts (111, 359, 360, 378, 380, 384, 386, 390, 391, 398, 399 and 434) received emails with specific details and should follow those emailed instructions.

Buff Buses andÌýRTD Buses

The timing of buses could be affected on all routes due to gameday traffic impacts.

  • From 2 p.m. until end of service, the Williams Village and Athens North Buff Buses will run on their alternateÌýfootball routes.Ìý
  • From 4 p.m. on, the Athens North buses will not appear on theÌý, but will have departures scheduled from Athens at the top of each hour and 20 and 40 minutes past each hour.
  • °Õ³ó±ðÌýMarine Street ExpressÌýwill see no route changes due to gameday operations.
  • RTD’s Stampede, J and 209 routes will be affected by gameday operations starting at 2 p.m. RTD detour information can be found onÌý.

Clear Bag Policy and Security

Fans are allowed to bring items into the stadium using a clear bag only, which is becoming more standard at sporting events across the country.Ìý

The bag can be a one-gallon resealable clear plastic storage bag,Ìýno larger than 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches. Fans are also allowed one small purse that can be no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.

On football game days, concrete barriers are used to close Colorado Avenue at Folsom Street and 18th Avenue, as well as sidewalks around Folsom Field. These barricades replaced the standard, light-weight barriers that had been used in the past and provide better protection for pedestrians.
