Trevor Noah, comedianand host of The Daily Show, will help welcome CU Ƶ students to campus with a virtual talk on Saturday, Aug. 22. Through this moderated conversation, Noah will discuss his life, work and the topics of today.

Noah is being hosted by CU Ƶ’s student-run Cultural Events Board (CEB) and Distinguished Speakers Board (DSB), Center for Student Involvement, New Student and Family Programs, Residence Life, Division of Student Affairs, and Office of Diversity Equity and Community Engagement as part of Fall Welcome 2020. The free event will take place on Zoom at 8 p.m. (MDT) and is open only to CU Ƶ students and graduate students. Virtual attendees will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, andstudents are asked to sign up for more information and a link to the event.

He will no doubt be an engaging and thoughtful speaker, pairing his classic wit and unique background to create conversation on campus,” said DSB ChairAlly Robertsand CEB Chair Anuja Gore.

Noah has hosted The Daily Show since 2015. He is the author of The New York Times bestseller Born a Crime, and recently received a 2020 Webby Award for Best in Comedy for The Daily Show, as well as an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Talk Series.
