This week features one of the year's top networking events, the Rocky Mountain Showdown in Denver, a Spanish-language lecture, an end-of-summer party at the Buffalo Pool and more.

Promising rich dialogue and productive breakout sessions, the Diversity and Inclusion Summit could complement course content across a variety of disciplines, and organizers are encouraging faculty and instructors to add the event to their syllabi.

For welcoming and moving in thousands of first-year students, it takes thousands of helping hands. With dogged excitement, the campus community has provided just that this past week, resulting in a smooth and successful transition for countless families.

The CU football program will retire uniform No. 19 to honor the late Rashaan Salaam. A Heisman Trophy and Doak Walker Award winner in 1994, Salaam also was a unanimous All-American and the Walter Camp National Player of the Year following one of the best individual seasons in college football history.

To better accommodate students at the start of the semester, the Bursar's Office, Office of Financial Aid and Office of the Registrar will extend their hours for walk-in appointments and phone calls.

Cyclists will take to the road Sept. 10 to raise money for arts and sciences scholarships. Since its inception, the event has raised almost $3.5 million, supporting more than 400 students.

Hourly student-employees working for CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week, or 50 hours per bi-weekly pay period, during the fall and spring semesters.
