CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ students and faculty discussed innovation, collaboration and career opportunities with thought leaders and executives from Colorado’s aerospace industry on campus Oct. 27 at the 4th annual AeroSpace Ventures Day.

Michele Moses, associate dean for graduate studies in the School of Education, has been awarded the 2016 Hazel Barnes Prize, the most distinguished award a faculty member can receive from the university. She is also the first education faculty member to receive the award.

Registration begins Monday, Oct. 31, for 32 new faculty-led freshmen seminars that will be offered in the Spring Semester. These seminars are limited to only 19 students each. Check out the variety of topics you can focus on with classmates who share your interests and goals.

No. 22 Colorado knocked off its second consecutive top-10 opponent, defeating No. 9 UCLA 1-0 on Thursday afternoon at Prentup Field. The Buffs were coming off a 3-2 double-overtime victory at No. 10 California on Sunday. The Buffs will host No. 4 Southern California Sunday at noon.

The Buff football team has cracked the top 25 in national rankings for the second time this season, which led the campus community to wonder: What other programs and teams are ranked in the top 25? As it turns out, CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ has quite a lot of leadership to be proud of.

Sometimes eating a meal that is both balanced and delicious can be challenging—especially when you lead a busy student lifestyle. Campus Dining Services’ own registered dietitian, Allison Smith, can help. She has developed a program called Dietitian’s Dish, that provides a detailed meal idea each day in the C4C Dining Center.

Did you know that studies have found that college students involved in recreation programs have less stress, higher GPAs, and are more likely to maintain higher levels of fitness throughout their lives? The Rec offers plenty of opportunities to become an active Buff and get involved in our campus community.
