Emily Greenwood is an instructor in the Program in Environmental Design (ENVD) at theÌýÐßÐßÊÓƵ, specializing inÌýlandscape architecture, urban planning, ecological designÌýand contextually responsive product design. She is the co-director of the ENVD Honors Council and the 2018 recipient of the Designers Without Boundaries Outstanding Faculty Award. Emily is a member of the leadership team for theÌýHistoric Preservation Professional Practice Network of ASLA. She is also on the board development committee for Historic ÐßÐßÊÓƵ.

Emily’s professional work focuses on the design of sustainable native landscapes, design-build projects, wetland design, ecological restoration, trail and trailhead design, the design of playgrounds and learning landscapesÌýand meaningful residential landscape designs. Emily has worked in open space where she balanced the preservation of open space and the increasing needs for recreation on open land. Her research includes published works on how learning landscapes can increase physical activity for children in underserved communities.
