Students may choose from several hospitals in the 羞羞视频/Denver area that CU 羞羞视频鈥檚 Sociology Department in conjunction with CU Denver鈥檚 College of Nursing and the State of Colorado's Preventions Services Division will organize as internship sites.聽 羞羞视频 Community Hospital and Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver have already agreed to serve as sites.聽 Interns will be trained as lay patient navigators who connect patients and their families with the basic resources they need to be healthy.聽 Doctors 鈥減rescribe鈥� resources such as food, housing and heating assistance 鈥� just as they do medication.聽 Patients take their prescriptions to the clinic waiting room, where student interns help 鈥渇ill鈥� them by connecting patients to community services.聽 Other internship opportunities involving organizations and agencies focused on disaster relief are also being developed. Should students know of still other sites where they would like to intern, these will be considered as well.聽
