New Assistant Vice Chancellor for Safety position creates career opportunity for CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ employees

The Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Safety is responsible for broad oversight, planning, organization and coordination of all campus safety functions for CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ. These responsibilities include campus police, environmental, health and safety, oversight of crisis management and coordination of campus-wide response teams in the event of an emergency. Current, regular CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ employee are welcomed to submit application materials through Monday, Oct. 3.

Beginning on Monday, Sept. 26, police from the City of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ and the ÐßÐßÊÓƵ will step up enforcement of the city’s traffic laws in and around several of ÐßÐßÊÓƵ’s top locations for motor vehicle collisions involving a bicyclist or pedestrian as part of the Heads Up ÐßÐßÊÓƵ crosswalk safety campaign.

The ÐßÐßÊÓƵ County Bomb Squad was on campus last night to investigate a suspicious device. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a bottle with harmless liquid. While it ended without incident, it serves as an opportune reminder that we all need to be good bystanders.
