Join the CU Environmental Center as it launches the new Eco-Engage Events Program on Saturday, Sept. 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program's first excursion will take students on a tour of sustainable and local food systems on campus and in ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, including CU dining, the ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Farmers' Market, ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Food Rescue and two local organic farms. The deadline to enroll is Sept. 6.

The city manager and staff will ask the ÐßÐßÊÓƵ City Council next week to consider a collaborative plan with the university to develop a new hotel and conference center in the heart of the city. The center will have the potential to help revitalize The Hill commercial district and create a modern gathering place for academics, researchers and the community.

Bragging rights in Colorado for the next 364 days will be up for grabs Friday night when Colorado and Colorado State square off in the Rocky Mountain Showdown, one of the oldest college football rivalries in the Rocky Mountain West.

Are you going to the Rocky Mountain Showdown and need a ride? The University of Colorado Student Government and CU Athletics have paired up to make free bus rides available to CU ÐßÐßÊÓƵ students going to the CU vs CSU game on Friday, Sept. 2. The buses will board in front of the Coors Events Center beginning at 2 p.m.

This Friday, Sept. 2, is the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Our team, our school, and our colors are something we Buffs take great pride in and it is very important for us to represent the Buffs in the best light as we take on the Colorado State Rams.

The 2016 Rocky Mountain Showdown featuring the University of Colorado vs. Colorado State University will take place Friday, Sept. 2, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High stadium in Denver. The kickoff for this highly anticipated event is at 6 p.m. and marks the 88th meeting of the CU and CSU teams.
